Suffolk County Legislator Jon Cooper recently honored sixteen students at Cold Spring Harbor High School for their selfless efforts, led by their advisor Kathleen Fristensky, to raise more than $3,000 and donate nearly 200 inches of their hair to “Locks of Love.” This non-profit organization provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children in the United States and Canada who suffer from long-term medical hair loss. This is the sixth year in a row that Legislator Cooper has acknowledged the efforts of Ms. Fristensky and her students in supporting such a worthwhile cause. Pictured with Legislator Cooper are Ms. Fristensky (top row, center) as well as several of the participating students.
