The Commack Fire Department was alerted to multiple calls reporting a structure fire in the vicinity of Crooked Hill Road near the old Commack Multiplex Theater on Sunday night, March 25, at approximately 9:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, Commack Fire Chief Kieran Keane located a fully involved fire in a trailer next to a commercial building on Henry Street.  Fifty firefighters responded with five engines and two ladder trucks, and quickly had the blaze under control.  The Commack Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded with two ambulances for standby. Firefighters checked the adjoining building for extension and there was no fire damage.  There were no injuries reported and fire is under investigation by the Commack and Smithtown Fire Marshals and the Suffolk Police Arson Squad.
