Following the success of last month’s “Cash Mob” at Finnegans and “Life is Good,” the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce will continue the “Buying Local” trend by hosting its next cash mob on Thursday, April 26th at 6 p.m. at “The Crushed Olive,” located at 278 Main Street in Huntington. “The Crushed Olive” features some of the world’s best and healthiest 100% extra virgin olives oils and balsamic vinegars, naturally flavored from whole fruit, leaf, and clove. All guests will be treated to a tasting of olive oils and balsamic vinegars. In addition, the Crushed Olive will offer a 60ml sampler bottle with any purchase of $20 or more.
The Cash Mob will begin as participants gather at “Vitae” Restaurant and Wine Bar located at 54 New Street in Huntington, the former home of Abel Conklin’s Restaurant, at 5 p.m. Here they will have the opportunity to network and mingle prior to the event. ‘Vitae’ is an elegant and chic restaurant and lounge that brings a glimpse of the Manhattan night life to the Village of Huntington. Cash Mob participants will then proceed to The Crushed Olive.
The Cash Mob concept is simple – get a “mob” of people together to mingle, meet and shop at local merchants. “Huntington Chamber ‘Cash Mobs’ have become successful events that our members as well as the community have enjoyed taking part in. It’s a great feeling to participate and lend a helping hand with impacting the community and showing support for our local businesses,” said Patricia Grant, Huntington Village Merchants Chairperson.
The Huntington Chamber’s Village Merchants Committee coordinates the Cash Mob program to encourage “Buying Local” in order to stimulate the economy. For more information on the Cash Mob, call (631) 423-6100.
