Huntington Town Board Unanimously Approves Coral Park Project In Greenlawn

In a 5-0 vote the Huntington Town Board approved the development of a new park which will be named Coral Park, located off of Broadway Greenlawn Road, in Greenlawn. The current vacant 2.8 acre parcel, which is owned by the Town, will be converted into a park that will feature the following amenities: A parking area, sidewalk, playground, basketball court, plaza/sitting area with picnic tables and chess/checker tables, perimeter pathway, fitness/cardio stations, irrigation, and a large open lawn/play area. Additionally, a traffic light will be installed in order to provide safe traffic conditions.

The additional funds allocated for the creation of the park include $285,000 from the Neighborhood Parks Fund, $200,000 from EOSPA Park Improvement Funds, and 50,000 from the EOSPA Neighborhood Enhancement Program, which total $535,000. The project is now in the final design stages.
