 Who:         County Executive Bellone will be joined by the homeowners of 3 Bayley Place, other first time homebuyers, & Legislators Stern, Spencer and D’Amaro

A pool of a half million dollars in HUD funds are available through the Suffolk County HOME Consortium for first time homebuyers to apply toward their down payment.  County Executive Steven Bellone will announce the opening of the application process for down payment assistance for qualified Suffolk County residents (within the consortium area) ready to purchase their first home.  Bellone will outline the purpose and parameters of the program during a press conference held at the home of a Huntington family of three who closed on their home in January 2012 with funds from the program.  Other homeowners who have benefitted from the program will also be on hand to share what realizing their dream of homeownership has meant to their families.
