Complimentary Pizza, Salad and Soft Drinks
Every Thursday in August
Lots of Long Islanders have already found out how much fun it is to spend a delightful summer evening dancing — and taking dance lessons from professional teachers — in the Suffolk County Vanderbilt Museum’s celebration tent. This Thursday, August 16, will feature complimentary food: Pizza from Primo Piatto of Huntington, salad provided by Claudia Dowling Interiors of Huntington, and soft drinks from the Vanderbilt Museum. Mid-Summer Night Dances continue on Thursday, August 23 and 30. The gate opens at 6:30. Dancing is from 7:00 to 9:30. Tickets: $20 per person at the door. No advance reservations necessary. For more information, call the Vanderbilt, 631-854-5579. The museum is located at 180 Little Neck Road in Centerport. Each evening begins with a featured dance lesson followed by dancing to a varied selection of dances to practice your techniques, such as salsa, tango, foxtrot and waltz. Dance instructors are available during the evening to help you master your steps. Sponsored by Ballroom on the Bay of Huntington.
