  1. Now imagine this . . . a huge pile of contaminated soil off of Burrs Lane in Dix Hills or perhaps Hauppauge Road in Commack. Betcha a certain town council member or town supervisor would not stand for that. But since they live miles and miles from the action, why would they care.

  2. Once again I wonder why isn’t Susan Berland outraged about this? Is it ok for the minority neighborhood to breathe in arsenic but not the people in Dix Hills?

  3. Becuase Sandy would not allow it. That is not a typo. Mr. Berland is the driving force behind many of these initiatives. Susan is just trying to find a matching pair of shoes . . .
