Sustainable Long Island who is one of the consultants for the Huntington Station Brownfields Opportunity Area (BOA) program will be giving a presentation at the Huntington School Board meeting this evening. The meeting will be held in the Jack Abrams Auditorium at 7:30pm. The Jack Abrams School is located at 155 Lowndes Avenue in Huntington Station. The presentation is a continuation of the contentious March 27, 2012 Brownfields meeting. Here is a link to the story about the March meeting.
According to the Sustainable LI website, during Step 2 of the Huntington Station BOA, the consultants will develop planning and redevelopment programs that incorporate community input received during the process; conduct environmental site assessments and economic and financial analyses; and facilitate public participation.
