As of October 22nd, 2012 the Arsenic soil pile at the Avalon Bay Huntington Station location is being stabilized and covered as per the soil management plan.  In the meantime an excavation pit is currently being excavated in order to bury the contaminated soil on-site.   We originally published an article on the contaminated soil pile back in late August. At that time the pile was not stabilized and therefore Avalon Bay was not in compliance with the soil plan.
