Lupinacci Tours LI Cares

Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci recently toured the Long Island Cares-Harry Chapin Food Bank to learn about the organization’s ongoing efforts to end hunger on Long Island. The organization works to provide emergency food where and when it is needed and sponsors programs aimed at helping families achieve self-sufficiency.

“Every day, thousands of people on Long Island go hungry,” said Lupinacci. “Fortunately, through the efforts of the men and women that make up Long Island Cares, those less fortunate are able to receive assistance. Thanks to the generosity of individuals, businesses and foundations throughout our community, we’re able to strive toward the goal of eliminating hunger.”

Anyone interested in making a donation, becoming involved with the organization or in need of assistance can find additional information by visiting www.licares.org or by calling (631) 582-FOOD.
