Students of Harley Avenue Primary School in the Elwood Union Free School District recently enjoyed a visit from the ArtsPower National Touring Theatre, who shared a musical presentation of “The Rainbow Fish” based on the popular book by Marcus Pfister.
Students were introduced to a character named Rainbow Fish who believes she is the most beautiful fish in the sea, as well as her two less sparkly friends, Green Fish and Blue Fish. When she refuses to share her silvery scales with them, they decide to end the friendship.
Student spectators joined Rainbow on a journey through the ocean to seek the answers needed to cure her loneliness. They enjoyed a variety of song and dance routines that led to a valuable lesson in sharing and being a good friend.
