Elwood Students Honor the Flag

First-grade students of Harley Avenue Primary School in the Elwood Union Free School District took part in the annual Harley Avenue Flag Day celebration. The program was conducted by Harley music teacher Christina Long with piano accompaniment by local piano teacher Marge Margolf.

Throughout the performance, students recited facts about America’s flag and sang a series of songs celebrating it, including “The Star-Spangled Banner,” “My Flag” and “You’re a Grand Old Flag.”
