Dix Hills Fire Department volunteers responded to a motor vehicle accident on Carman Road near Half Hollow Road, Saturday night, June 22, at approximately 8:20 p.m., after a Jeep Grand Cherokee struck a utility pole. Two adults and two children suffered non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Huntington Hospital by the Dix Hills Rescue Squad. About 25 firefighters and rescue personnel were on the scene with three heavy rescue trucks, two ambulances, paramedic and first responder units, under the command of Chief Tom Magno and Third Assistant Chief Alan Berkowitz.
