Huntington Man Seriously Injured in Motor Vehicle Crash

Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a driver in Huntington on Wednesday, August 14. Thomas Depalo was operating a 2009 Chrysler minivan northbound on Park Avenue when he attempted to make a left turn onto Jericho Turnpike at 8:24 a.m. and struck a 2008 Volkswagen traveling southbound on Park Avenue.

The driver of the Volkswagen, Nathaniel Eikenes, 22, of Cherry Lane, Huntington, was transported to Huntington Hospital with serious injuries. Depalo, 37, of  Dix Hills, and his two children, ages 4 and 7, who were passengers in the vehicle, were all treated and released from Huntington Hospital.
