Early Dismissal & Cancellations

Cold Spring Harbor:

Please note that all afternoon activities have been cancelled.  The Y Program WILL be in session.  The Board of Education meeting scheduled for this evening has NOT been cancelled and will take place as scheduled.

Commack:

All after school activities are cancelled today – including the CMS Concert.
Grades 6-12 will be dismissed one hour early, and Grades K-5 will be dismissed 1/2 hour earlier.
SCOPE will remain open as usual.

Elwood:

Due to the inclement weather,  the Elwood school district will have an early dismissal today, Tuesday December 10th.  Please take note of the following information.

Boyd Intermediate School will dismiss at 12:00.  We will implement the Early Dismissal Release program.  Boyd students must be met by at the bus stop by a person that is listed on the early dismissal release form that was completed by you at the beginning of the year.

High School will dismiss at 12:45 pm.

Middle School will dismiss at 1:15 pm.

Harley Ave.  will dismiss at 1:45 pm.  As with Boyd, we will implement the Early Dismissal Release program.  Harley students must be met by at the bus stop by a person that is listed on the early dismissal release form that was completed by you at the beginning of the year.

PM Kindergarten has been cancelled as well as all after school and evening activities.

Harborfields:

For today December 10 2013 there will be an early dismissal of students.  Harborfields High School will dismiss at 12:00 Noon, Oldfield Middle School at 1:00PM, T.J. Lahey and Washington Drive at 2:00PM.

There will be no PM Kindergarten or Pre-K .

All after school activities are cancelled.

Huntington School District:

As a result of today’s inclement weather and hazardous road conditions, student dismissal will begin approximately one hour and fifteen minutes earlier than regular time. Please make arrangements for your child’s early arrival home.

Also note:

  • PM K is canceled. AM K students will depart at their regular time.
  • All afterschool activities will be canceled. The Woodhull concert will be rescheduled, date to be determined and shared shortly.

Northport/ East Northport:

Due to the hazardous weather and driving conditions, there will be an early release of students today, Tuesday, December 10th.  All after-school activities and parent conferences have been cancelled and will be re-scheduled.  Students will be released as follows:

Northport High School: 11:00 a.m.

All Elementary Schools (except Norwood Ave): 11:55 a.m.

Norwood Avenue Elementary School: 12:20 p.m.

Middle Schools: 1:00 p.m.

Trinity Regional School and Long Island Lutheran Day School: 11:45 a.m.

Special Education and Out-of-District Schools: 11:00 a.m.

South Huntington:

Due to the weather, all after school and evening activities, including afternoon tech, are canceled.  Tonight’s middle school concert will be added on to Thursday evening’s concert with a schedule to follow.

School will remain open there will be traditional dismissal times. The only adjustment is high school buses will be brought in about 40 minutes earlier so we can then proceed as close to an on time schedule as possible in each of the buildings. The high school will get released at approximately 1:30 this afternoon, and all other buildings will follow as close to normal dismissal time.
