  • town hallThe Town Board authorizes a contract with Lessing’s Inc. for a summer food service program for project P.L.A.Y. and St. John’s Camp for the children who attend these program and meet the income criteria as set by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
  • The existing contract with A.C. Schultz for the rehabilitation of well 6-1 for the Dix Hills Water District needed to be changed. Additional work was deemed necessary by the Director of Engineering Services.  The original contract amount was $96,450.00 was increased by $22,590.00. The revised contract amount is $119,040.00.
  • Rules and regulations require that all amounts held under the Deferred Compensation Plan for Employees of the Town of Huntington be audited on an annual basis.  Toski, Schaefer & Co., P.C. located in Williamsville will provide those audit services.
  • The Town of Huntington will continue to offer kayaking programs to youths and adults in various locations throughout the town.  The Town Board authorized a franchise agreement with Long Island Kayak Experience, Inc.
  • Plans are underway for 2014 Movies on the Lawn Series. The Town entered into an agreement with Swank Motion Pictures for the rental of 4 films. Frozen ($350.00); Rocky II ($275.00); Back To The Future ($300.00); Close Encounters Of The Third Kind ($275.00).  In addition to the film rental costs, the town will retain Long Island Association of the Motion Picture Arts, Inc. to provide equipment and related technical services in the amount of $1800.00 per movie for a total of $7,200.
