The Huntington Summer Arts Festival Opening Weekend!

Summer Arts FestivalThe Huntington Summer Arts Festival returns for its 49th Season beginning June 26th. The fun begins with the Huntington Men’s Chorus on Thursday, followed by a fabulous Opening Weekend that brings you rock‘ n roll poet Garland Jeffreys Friday June 27,legendary songwriter and performer Jimmy Webb (See photo left) Saturday June 28 and a fabulous emerging artist, Ethiopian/Israeli vocalistEster Rada on Sunday June 29. And that’s just the beginning! Opening weekend performances begin at 8:30 pm at the Chapin Stage, Heckscher Park, Huntington Village. All concerts are FREE!

What could be better after the cold ravages of winter than warm summer evenings relaxing to musicians, dancers and actors performing their magic on the Chapin Rainbow Stage in beautiful Heckscher Park. This year’s schedule offers an abundance of superb artistry in multiple musical and theatrical genres – from traditional band and choral programs, to dazzling dance and hilarious Broadway theatricals, to world-renowned artist from around the globe. Whatever your preference – be it classical, jazz, folk, blues, rock ‘n roll or world music, there is much to enjoy and many musical adventures to explore.
