93-Year-Old Man Found Unresponsive In Huntington Station Pool

Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of a 93-year-old man that was found unresponsive in his pool on July 3, 2014. 

Curt Thiele, of Stafford Drive, Huntington Station, was observed at the bottom of his pool by a relative who called 911 at approximately 5:25 p.m.  First responders arrived on scene, pulled him out of the pool and initiated CPR.  Huntington Community First Aid transported him to Huntington Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
