Driver Injured in Dix Hills Crash

Dix Hills Fire Department volunteers responded to a crash on Carlls Straight Path and the North Service Road on Saturday, July 12, at about 6:30 p.m. The driver of a Nissan Altima suffered non-life threatening injuries after the car struck a utility pole. The patient was assisted by Dix Hills Rescue Squad personnel and transported to Huntington Hospital. An ambulance, heavy rescue truck, first responder and paramedic units were on the scene, under the direction of Third Assistant Chief Alan Berkowitz.
