Woman Drowns in Dix Hills Pool

Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the drowning death of a woman in a backyard swimming pool in Dix Hills.

Residents of the home located at 2 Polo St. were cleaning up the backyard following a party that occurred yesterday. At approximately 2:40 p.m. today. they noticed a body in the deep end of the backyard pool. Second Precinct police officers responded following a 911 call from a resident and Rajkumari Motwani’s body was pulled from the water.

Motwani, 55 of Rego Park, who was a guest at the party, was pronounced dead at the scene. Following a preliminary investigation, it does not appear there is any criminality in relation to Motwani’s death.
