Huntington Station Man Critically Injured On WaveRunner

Roldando Moreno was riding a Yamaha WaveRunner in the Lindenhurst area of the Great South Bay when he jumped a wave from a boat and crashed into a 23-foot Chapparal boat at approximately 5:25 p.m on Sunday, July 20, 2014.

Moreno, 45, of Huntington Station, was transported to shore by another boater and taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where he was admitted in critical condition. No one on the boat was injured.

Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating the crash. They are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152.
