Cinema Arts Centre Announces Free Tickets for Kids

The Cinema Arts Centre is pleased to announce that the next five Cinema For Kids!events will be free for children 12 and under, thanks to generous support from Bethpage Federal Credit Union, kicking off with a brand new 75^th Anniversary digital restoration of “The Wizard of Oz”, screening on Sunday, August 17 at 12 noon. Upcoming screenings are Sundays at noon: “My Little Pony Equestria Girls-Rainbow Rocks” on September 28; “The Lego Movie” on October 19; “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory” on November 16; and “The Muppets Take Manhattan” on December 28 at Cinema Arts Centre, 423 Park Ave, Huntington, NY. 631-423-7611 www.CinemaArtsCentre.org.

Bethpage Federal Credit Union is helping CAC provide this wonderful community service. The Cinema for Kids! monthly series offers parents an opportunity to introduce their children to the wonder of movies with the best of new and classic family filmmaking and imaginative children’s programming.  Past programs have included: “Gustafer Yellowgold”, animated video presentations brought to life with live music performances by songwriter and illustrator, Morgan Taylor; “The Best of the New York International Children’s Film Festival, North America’s largest festival of film for children and teens which stands at the forefront of a movement to define a new, more provocative and compelling film for kids; and “Ernest and Celestine”, a flowing, tender and playful animated film about an unlikely friendship between a bear and a mouse, screened in both English and French, allowing parents the option to expose young children to the French language and practice reading skills, or enjoy the film dubbed in English by a star-studded cast.

The Wizard of Oz

MY LITTLE PONY EQUESTRIA GIRLS-RAINBOW ROCKS

Music rules and rainbows rock as Twilight Sparkle and pals complete for the top spot in the Canterlot High “Mane Event” talent show. The girls must rock their way to the top, and outshine rival Adagio Dazzle and her band The Dazzlings, to restore harmony back to Canterlot High. Rated G.
