SPECIAL EVENT
Draw Out! Free Community Event
Sunday, October 5,
12:00 noon – 4:00 pm
(Rain Date: Sunday, October 19)
The Heckscher Museum is delighted to present this annual free event for the whole family. Inspired by the Museum’s exhibitions, there will be an array of drawing and collage activities offered in the Museum and on the terrace. A variety of materials will be on hand or bring your own to capture the excitement of the day! Help create a collaborative patriotic collage inspired by the Museum’s Richard Gachot’s America exhibition, try your hand at figure drawing from live models, learn more about the creative process with demonstrations by Long Island Biennial artists Bernadette De Nyse and Edward Hall, whose artwork is currently on view in the Museum, and enjoy music with Live Art Fusion!
Be the first to experience the NEW! ProtoZone Interactive Action Painting. Create a magical masterpiece on a 55-inch digital touchscreen, sensitive to paintbrushes and fingertips.
The Museum’s ProtoZone interactive technology was made possible through a grant from Ronald McDonald House Charities New York Tri-State Area.
Complimentary art materials generously provided by Grumbacher, Koh-I-Noor, and thalo.com.
