Meet The Candidates Night – Israel Not Planning To Attend

The League of Woman Voters (LWV) of Huntington is co-sponsoring a Meet The Candidates Night on Oct. 27 at Harborfields Library, 31 Broadway, Greenlawn from 7 to 9 PM.  According to a representative of LWV,  all candidates on the ballot for 3rd Congressional District, 2nd and 5th state senate districts, and 10th and 12 state assembly district were invited.  Because of their no empty chair policy only the three candidates from the 5th state senate district will be participating in the debate,   They are Carl, L Marcellino, Bruce Kennedy and Gigi Bowman.  A spokesperson form LWV told us that in the other races, there was only one candidate who responded “yes” to attending.  These candidates will be introduced in beginning of program.  Members of the audience will have the opportunity to speak with Grant Lally ( 3rd Congressional district),Chad Lupinacci ( 10th Assembly District) and Andrew Raia (12th Assembly district) at the end of the program.

We have inquired with LWV as to why incumbent candidate Steve Israel will not attend. We are waiting to hear back.  Lupinacci’s challenger Dominick Feeney Jr. is not expected to attend.
