Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Motor Vehicle Crash on West Main Street In Huntington

Update: Vincent Butler, the pedestrian who was seriously injured in a motor vehicle crash on October 30 in Huntington, succumbed to his injuries last night. 

Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Huntington this morning.

Vincent Butler was crossing West Main Street, approximately 10 feet from Scudder Place, when he was struck by a 2007 Honda Accord traveling eastbound on West Main Street at 6:55 a.m. Butler, 75, of Nathan Hale Drive, Huntington, was transported to Huntington Hospital with serious injuries. The driver, Adrian Schrenck, 38, of West Main Street, Huntington, was not injured.

 The Honda was impounded for a safety check. The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is asked to call the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.
