Volunteers from the Dix Hills Fire Department were dispatched to a three-car collision on Deer Park Avenue near Straight Path, Thanksgiving evening, November 27, at around 9 p.m. Under the command of First Assistant Chief Robert Fling, 35 firefighters and emergency medical personnel responded with three trucks, three ambulances, first responder and paramedic units. Three female patients suffered non-life threatening injuries and were transported to Huntington Hospital by Dix Hills FD Rescue Squad ambulances. (Photos by Steve Silverman)
