Huntington Manor FD Battles Strip Mall Blaze

The Huntington Manor Fire Department responded to an early morning fire that damaged several stores in a strip mall at 212 West Jericho Turnpike near Cager Place in Huntington Station, Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at 2:50 a.m. 
Over 75 firefighters from Huntington Manor, Huntington, Melville, Greenlawn and Dix Hills battled the blaze with 10 trucks in sub-freezing temperatures.
Halesite, Cold Spring Harbor and Syosset firefighters provided standby coverage for Huntington Manor during the alarm. 
Units were under the command of Huntington Manor Fire Chief Frank McQuade with the support of Assistant Chiefs Mike DePasquale, Jon Hoffmann and Chuck Brady. There were no injuries reported and the Suffolk Police Arson Squad and Huntington Town Fire Marshal are investigating. Suffolk County Fire-Rescue Coordinators were also on the scene assisting.
