Dix Hills Firefighter Celebrates 95th Birthday

On April 10, 2017, Dix Hills Fire Department Company One celebrated a big birthday with veteran firefighter and Ex-Commissioner Hank Leids. At 95-years-old, Hank is the oldest member of the department. He joined the Dix Hills Fire Department in 1963 and has been a dedicated member, actively responding to calls as recently as 2013. Hank was a Rescue Squad Officer and served Company One as a Fire Officer as well. Hank is pictured seated in center with his fellow members.
