“I applaud the Senate for putting rhetoric aside and taking action on the gang recruitment issue that has become a scourge on so many communities across Long Island. I urge my colleagues in the Assembly to put forth the same commitment the Senate has demonstrated, and bring legislation to the Assembly floor for a vote so we may do our part in creating a safer Long Island. We must band together with our law enforcement and families and take a hard line if we are to protect our children from individuals who wish to grow these crime syndicates.”
