Sunday May 21, 2017 at 2pm Gene Cook announced to more then 250 guests at West Hills Day Camp Grounds during a wonderful family picnic that he was running for Supervisor of the Town of Huntington to replace multiple term Democrat Frank Petrone after 24 years in office.
Gene Cook has been a councilman for 2 terms and has run with the Independence, Republican, and Conservative endorsements.
So it appears the Democrats will have a primary on their side with the following three -high school teacher Darryl St. George of Centerport, former Democratic Nassau Legis. Brian Muellers of South Huntington and Tracey Edwards a current councilperson have declared their intentions to run for supervisor.
Gene Cook will be running against one of those three above.
