Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Second Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s assistance to identify a man who scammed money from a store in Huntington Station last month.
On May 17, 2017 a man told employees at Dunkin Donuts located at 281 Walt Whitman Road that he was a “Fire Suppression Inspector” who was performing an inspection for corporate. The individual performed no such inspection and was paid by the employees $675.26 from the register. The individual has attempted this scam at other Dunkin Donuts locations.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
