Tree Falls on Car in Dix Hills

The Dix Hills Fire Department responded to an accident after a large tree fell onto a car traveling on Deer Park Road near Royal Lane on June 14 at about 6:20 p.m. Dix Hills firefighters and Suffolk Police Emergency Services cut the tree away from the car so the driver could be safely removed. The driver was transported to Huntington Hospital with minor injuries by the Dix Hills Rescue Squad. An ambulance, heavy rescue pumper and paramedic responder were dispatched to the scene, under the direction of Chief Tom Napolitano and Assistant Chiefs Joe Williamson and Brett Tepe.
