PEDESTRIAN HIT BY CAR ON JERICHO TURNPIKE DIED OF HIS INJURIES

The Huntington Community First Aid Squad received a call Monday July 10, 2017 at 2:14 PM for a pedestrian vs. motor vehicle accident on Jericho Turnpike near Thorney Avenue.  The duty crew and a paramedic were dispatched to the scene.  Upon arrival they found two Suffolk County PD medics were at the location and had begun administrating aid to the patient. The 34 year old male suffered severe traumatic injuries to his head, chest and limbs.  The SCPD medevac helicopter was called and Huntington Manor FD was requested to respond to the landing zone.   Due to the seriousness of the patient’s condition he was transported to Huntington Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the automobile was not injured.
