The Golden Dolphin restaurant was seized by NYS Tax and Fiance Department for non payment of taxes. Social media was a buzz today about this as well as other news outlets. One Media Source stated “The Golden Dolphin Diner in Huntington owed more than $163,000 in state taxes when it was seized this week, officials for the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance said Thursday.”
Another Stated “Golden Dolphin diner in Huntington village has been seized by the state over unpaid taxes, according to notices posted Wednesday afternoon.”

September 12, 2016 SUFFOLK $91.75 September 14, 2016 These warrants total $24,293.70 for Sales Tax Not $163,000 as another media source stated that “Tax officials said the property was seized Wednesday with three warrants against the corporation that owns the restaurant on Route 25A — officially named Limnaria Corp., but doing business as the Golden Dolphin.”
According to New York State Sales Tax records no sales tax warrants have been issued against Limnaria Corp.,

LIMNARIA CORPORATION according to Suffolk County Clerks Office has the following judgments against LIMNARIA CORPORATION totaling $372,532.10.
Some of these judgments could have been paid and not yet recorded but it shows the whole picture of taxes due by the Golden Dolphin Restaurant. The Golden Dolphin has been a stable in the community for years, the community is hoping it can work out a payment plan with NYS and open once again. The owner of the Golden Dolphin was not available to comment.
