“Horror films, legends and comics surrounding Halloween allow people to embrace a side of themselves that is considered dark and strange. The Huntington Arts Council invites students to submit work that is inspired by the story telling narrative of Halloween and enjoy the creative process!”

Entry deadline September 25, 2017

 

ELIGIBILITY: Open to all student artists grades 6-12. Artwork must be available October 10-November 6, 2017.

 

MEDIUM: Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor, Pastel, Graphite, Charcoal, Acrylic and Sculpture, Photography and Collage.

 

AWARDS: Prizes valued at $75 each will be awarded in two categories: Senior Division (grades 9-12) and Junior division (grades 6-8)

 

COSTUME RECEPTION: Friday, October 27, 2017 6-8pm  prizes will also be awarded for best costumes!

 

SHOW RUNS: October 13- November 4, 2017
