Vehicle Collision Injures Three In Melville

The Melville Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle collision that injured three people on Sunday morning, September 10, 2017, at about 7:40 a.m. on Broad Hollow Road and the North Service Road. The crash involved two SUV’s with one overturning several times and trapping the driver.

Melville firefighters used heavy rescue extrication tools to remove the driver, who was transported by Melville Rescue Squad ambulance to the Nassau University Medical Center. Two occupants in the second vehicle were also injured and transported to Huntington Hospital. Units were on the scene with a heavy rescue truck, two engines, two ambulances and paramedic responder, under the direction of Chief Jason Bernfeld and Assistant Chief David Kaplan.
