The Huntington Manor Fire Department responded to a blaze at Auto Fusion auto repair shop on West Jericho Turnpike in Huntington Station on Thursday morning, September 14, 2017 at around 8:30 a.m. About 60 firefighters from Huntington Manor, Huntington, Melville, Greenlawn, Syosset and Dix Hills fire departments were on the scene with ten trucks and had the fire under control within an hour. Ambulance crews were on the scene from the Huntington Community First Aid Squad, and the Halesite Fire Department provided standby coverage. Units were under the direction of First Assistant Chief Jon Hoffmann, supported by Assistant Chiefs Chuck Brady and Jim Glidden. There were no injuries reported and the Suffolk Police Arson Squad and Huntington Town Fire Marshal are investigating the cause of the fire which extensively damaged the building.
