Melville Fire Department Responds To A Serious Car and Truck Crash

The Melville Fire Department responded to a crash involving a BMW sedan and a box truck that overturned on Pinelawn Road and Ruland Road, at around 10:15 a.m. on November 8, 2017. The crash ripped open the rear passenger side of the BMW. The driver of the car suffered serious injuries and was transported by Melville Rescue Squad ambulance to the Nassau University Medical Center. The truck driver declined transport. Melville FD dispatched three ambulances, heavy rescue truck, paramedic unit and fire police, under the direction of Assistant Chief David Kaplan.
