Huntington Offering Free Boating Safety Courses

Halesite – The Town of Huntington is offering free “Boating Safety Classes” in March and May. Attendees will receive a NYS Boating Safety credential issued by NYS Parks.

“Being a coastal town, these courses are critically important for the safety of our residents and visitors who come to enjoy our local waterways,” said Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci.

The first boating safety course will take place March 12^th, 13^th and 15^th from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM for a total of 9 hours of course instruction (must attend all three days) at the Halesite Fire Department. The second course will be offered May 19^th from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in the Town Board Room at Huntington Town Hall.
