Civil War Reenactment Brings History Alive at Walt Whitman High School
Join us as we take a stroll back in time to experience Union Mounted Calvary, the roar of Field Artillery, Union and Confederate infantry demonstrating
musket firing, Field Surgeons demonstrating the medical technology and reality of being wounded in battle, a look at a Women’s role with demonstrations
over a real campfire and an authentic taste of Victorian cooking. And don’t miss the concluding activity with a combined Union and Confederate
infantry skirmish with canon support.
You will see and hear the sound of cannon and musket fire, but there will be NO projectiles used…only gunpowder.
