Huntington Young Republicans Honor April Student of the Month

The Huntington Young Republicans launched their Student of the Month Program in February of 2017 to help engage local high school students in the process of politics and government. This month the organization honored Sheriden Schwertl, senior, of Cold Spring Harbor High School.  Sheriden Schwertl is a senior at Cold Spring Harbor High School.

During her time at Cold Spring Harbor High School, she was an extremely involved student leader. Academically, Sheriden excelled in AP and Honors classes, and currently stands at a 4.07 grade point average. She is the Vice President of the
Senior Class, President of the Student Booster Club, and President of the Natural Helpers. In addition, Sheriden was a cheerleader for Cold Spring Harbor throughout her high school career, and even made captain. In her free time, Sheriden has been figure skating for well over a decade. In the fall, Sheriden will be attending the University of Southern California where she plans to study biology.

After being honored with the award Sheriden explained, “I want to thank the Huntington Young Republicans for selecting me as the Student of the Month for April-2018.” Schwertl continued, “I am very appreciative of this honor.”

Huntington Young Republican President Sam Bifulco added, “Sheriden Schwertl is an extremely intelligent, modest, and ambitious student leader and I want to congratulate her on this award. If our future looks anything like Sheriden, I am confident our future is bright!”
