HUNTINGTON MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND WREATH CEREMONY

PLACE: Huntington Veterans Plaza, 100 Main Street, Huntington
(front lawn of Town Hall facing 25A)
The public is invited to honor our veterans at Huntington Town Hall, Sunday, May 27, 2018, at 9:00 AM on Huntington Veterans Plaza, 100 Main Street, Huntington, in commemoration of Memorial Day. Wreaths will be placed at the World War I, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam, and Women’s Veteran Monument and to honor our troops in the Middle East; Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts. The Church of Saint Patrick’s Youth Choir and Adult Chorale will perform patriotic songs. MEMORIAL DAY COMMEMORATION

On May 25th, the Town of Huntington Senior Center will commemorate Memorial Day with a Color Guard, St. Anthony’s Celtic Friars Pipe Band, DJ Bob and many of our senior veterans will wear their military hats or uniform shirts. We will also have a guest speaker, Paul Tropeano, a 94-year-old Army Veteran residing at Huntington Hills, who proudly served in World War II. Mr. Tropeano was with the 544 Heavy Maintenance Ordinance Field Company in the United States Army and landed in Sainte Mere Eglise one month after the attack on June 6, 1944.
