Man Killed in Single Vehicle Crash in Cold Spring Harbor

Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a man in Cold Spring Harbor last night.

A 33-year-old man was driving a 1999 Ford F-350 westbound on West Main Street near Midland Street when the vehicle left the roadway and struck several trees Sunday, June 10, 2018 at approximately 11:40 p.m.. Members of the Cold Spring Harbor Fire Department and Huntington Fire Department extricated the man from the vehicle.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.  His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
