Tennessee Walt: The Other Great American Songbook
Thursday, February 14 at 2pm
Through song and story, Tennessee Walt will present an overview of the history of country music, from the ‘Big Bang of Country Music’ in 1927 to the 21st century, featuring artists from Jimmie Rodgers and Hank Williams through Kitty Wells and Loretta Lynn to Taylor Swift and Citizens Band Radio. It’s a great introduction to this most American of musical forms.
Free and open to all. Advance registration requested.
Fiddler’s Green Irish Music Concert

Fiddler’s Green performs traditional Irish music in an authentic acoustic style. This four-person band performs unique and breath-taking renditions of Irish airs as well as lively jigs, reels, hornpipes, and evocative ballads which have set this band apart from all others. Free & open to all. Advance registration requested.
Meditation with Linda Cafiero
Wednesday, February 20, 2pm
Come for a relaxing hour of guided meditation led by Linda Cafiero, and discover the path to your true nature. Chairs will be available, as well as floor space for those who prefer to lie down. Please bring a towel, mat or pillow if you plan on being on the floor.

Valentine’s Day Card Workshop
Sunday, February 3, 1:30-4:30pm
Students will create two note cards in this hands-on workshop that combines two artistic disciplines: watercolor painting and calligraphy. Taught by Jan Guarino and Helen Murdock-Prep. Beginners welcome!
Supplies list: Please bring your set of watercolors; paper towels; a container for their water; watercolor brushes (rounds: a medium and smaller size, i.e. # 2 or # 4, and # 10); pencil, eraser; and a small pad of watercolor paper (any brand) to practice on. The instructors will provide watercolor note cards and calligraphy pens.
Register at Information Services with $50 payable by check or credit card. Max. 20 participants.
