Huntington Town Clerk Recognized By Commack Fire Department
On Saturday, April 13th, 2019, Huntington Town Clerk Jo-Ann Raia attended the 113th Annual Installation Dinner of the Commack Fire Department. Along with Assemblyman Andrew Raia, who represents Commack in 12th Assembly District, they were both invited to administer the Oaths of Office for each of the Department’s Chiefs and Officers.
Over the years, Ms. Raia has assisted the Department in numerous situations and at many events. It has been the tradition for the Department to have her administer the Officers’ Oaths of Office as they embark upon another year of service to the residents of the Commack Fire District.

After the installation, Ms. Raia was surprised when she was recognized with a beautifully detailed and engraved mantle clock stating “In Grateful Appreciation For Your Support And Dedication As Our Installation Officer And Friend. Congratulations On Your Retirement.”
This recognition follows with other Awards and Recognitions she received this year. “I have had the privilege and pleasure to attend this wonderful event for nearly the last three decades. It is an honor for me to administer the Oaths of Office to so many dedicated public servants who selflessly serve the residents of their Fire District. I am humbled and honored to receive this recognition from President/Ex-Chief John Bicocchi, the Chiefs and the entire department”, commented Ms. Raia.
