Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci is encouraging all residents who venture out on Huntington’s waterways to register for the Town of Huntington’s upcoming free “Boating Safety Certification Class” taking place at Huntington Town Hall on May 18.
“We want to be sure that everyone who enjoys Huntington’s waterways are doing so safely and responsibly,” said Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci. “Register online for the May 18th boating safety course (the Town’s final free boating safety certification course of 2019) online at HuntingtonNY.gov. Look for the Boating Safety Course button on the homepage.”
The Town of Huntington offers free Boating Safety Classes in March and May. Attendees who register, attend the full 8-hour course, and pass the test will receive a NYS Boating Safety credential issued by NYS Parks. Questions can be directed to the Harbormaster’s office at (631) 351-3255.
