At approximately 10:20 AM on May 9th, 2019, the Huntington Community First Aid Squad was called to the scene of an MVA at 200 Broadway (Riverhead Building Supply). Upon arrival the crew found a car had hit a telephone pole cracking it at the base.  The lone occupant of the vehicle was able to remove himself from the vehicle prior to the arrival of the ambulance. The man, in his 50’s was examined at the scene and because of the severity of the vehicle damage and the fact that the air bags had deployed the driver was transported to Huntington Hospital for further evaluation.
