U.S. Navy Commander Guest at Centerport Fire Department Parade

United States Navy Commander Kevin Hudson was the guest speaker and parade marshal at this year’s Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony hosted by
the Centerport Fire Department. Commander Hudson is a Centerport native who graduated Harborfields High School class of 1988. Hudson enlisted in the Navy and served on the USS Ranger. He attended NY Maritime College and was commissioned back into the Navy in 1994.
 
Hudson has served in various squadrons flying the P3 Orion, and was deployed in the North Atlantic, Pacific, Indian Oceans and the Mediterranean Sea and Persian Gulf. He flew combat missions over Kosovo and Bosnia, the Philippines, Iraq and Afghanistan. Hudson is currently serving as the international engagements branch head at U.S. Fleet Forces Command in Norfolk, Virginia. The Chiefs and Ex-Chiefs of the Centerport Fire Department were on hand to welcome Commander Hudson back to Centerport.
