COUNTY EXECUTIVE BELLONE HONORS SUFFOLK COUNTY’S VALEDICTORIAN CLASS OF 2019
Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone, on June 11, 2019, held a ceremony at the H. Lee Dennison Building in Hauppauge, NY to congratulate Suffolk County’s 2019 valedictorian class on their outstanding academic achievement. Joined by a crowd of 130 people that included valedictorians, school officials, family and friends, County Executive Bellone presented each student with a proclamation of achievement and provided remarks highlighting their accomplishments and encouraging them to pursue their dreams locally.
“These students represent some of the brightest minds, not only in Suffolk County, but also in the entire United States,” said Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone. “It is for this reason that I encouraged these students to return home to Suffolk County after receiving their educations at world-renowned institutions. I am working to ensure that Long Island will no longer be just a starting place for these amazing students, but a destination that the best and brightest scientists, doctors, engineers, and all other brilliant minds can call home. I cannot wait to see what amazing things these students go on to accomplish, and I hope they bring those accomplishments back to Long Island.”
