The Long Island Blood Services has declared an official blood emergency. Although blood is essential every day, donations tend to drop significantly during the summer months as people go on vacation.
So do your part this summer and attend our bi-annual blood drive on THURSDAY August 22nd from 3:30-8:00pm, hosted by our Ladies Auxiliary. As an added bonus anyone who attends (even if you are unable to donate that day) will be treated to a steak dinner, barbecued by our volunteer firefighters!
Eligible donors are aged 16 and up (under 18 must have parental signature), must weigh 110 lbs or more, and be feeling healthy the day of donation. If you have a blood donor card, please be sure to bring it with you as it will expedite your time in line!!
Stay Safe!

Chief of Department
